33 Intensive Impressionist Painting Course 23 24 25 July 2012

ID# IPa

This intensive three day Impressionist Painting Course takes place at Cawley Hall, Luston, Herefordshire and starts at 10:00am and finishes at 4:00pm

The Impressionists worked outside and so shall we in and around Cawley Hall and the village of Eye. Views over the fields, towards the church, the woods and the hills beyond will provide the backdrop for our paintings. Initially, Paul will work with students painting a scene using the techniques of Monet.

Students will see how the painting develops and be able to paint alongside Paul. During the first day we hope to complete a couple of  paintings in this way. On subsequent days students will work on developing their own paintings with Paul advising. Paul will, during the 3 days, do demonstrations on colour mixing, brush technique an how to choose suitable subjects and compose them.
