ID# PaPo

This Intensive three day Imaginative Painting Course takes place at Hampton Bishop Village Hall and starts at 10:00am and finishes at 4:00pm PLEASE NOTE: The dates shown here  for this course are correct, my leaflet shows incorrect dates for this course.

This intensive Imaginative Painting Course is based around the use of different visual sources, from which students can express their creativity in painting. We will use photographs, magazine imagery, objects and memories as a starting point, and combine them through drawing and collage.

Paul will demonstrate basic colour mixing using acrylic paint and bold expressive drawing which students will have the opportunity to practice. In their paintings students can explore the different qualities of acrylic paint and combine their ideas with drawn and other images. Group discussions and individual advice will help students achieve imaginative and dynamic paintings.

The emphasis of this course is developing imaginative paintings. There is no need to have used acrylic paint before, but some previous experience in drawing will be helpful. Please bring with you any sketches or photographs that inspire you to supplement the resource material that Paul will make available.

If students wish to use Oil Paint instead of Acrylic Paint this can be accommodated.
