An unusual medium for portraits, but watercolour has huge potential. Explore the techniques and methods in easy steps.

All drawing materials are provided together with an easel and board. A light lunch is also provided. Painting materials are Not provided, so please bring your own together with your own watercolour paper.

This course uses watercolour paint.

Suggested materials: A range of watercolour brushes of various sizes and types e.g. Round No 1 or No 2 and No 8 or 10, Flat No 6 or 8 and a 1" or similar Hake brush. A watercolour paint box with minimum of 12 colours by a reputable supplier, Winsor Newton/Rowney etc. One watercolour pad size A3 or similar, preferably 140lb or 300 gsm paper.

Directions to Aston on Clun Village Hall:
From Craven Arms on the A49 take the B4368 to Clun and Aston on Clun. Aston on Clun is approximately 4 miles from Craven Arms. As you enter Aston on Clun turn left into a narrow road about 50 yards beforeyou reach the Kangaroo Pub. The Village Hall in about 100yds down the road on the right.
